Larks Green Solar & BESS

PGC acted as Construction Manager, Security Manager and Principal Designer for the 63.5MW solar and 50MW BESS development at Larks Green, directly connected to the National Electricity Transmission System at the Iron Acton GSP/BSP. The solar element achieved energisation and commercial operation in 2024, with the Phase 1 BESS completed in Q1 2025.  PGC has subsequently been appointed to deliver the Phase 2 75MW BESS, commencing in Q2 2026.

The project involved complex coordination between EPC, ICP and grid stakeholders, high-voltage interface works, and staged commissioning activities. As Principal Designer, PGC managed CDM compliance through design development, civils-intensive construction, HV installation and energisation phases. As construction adviser, PGC maintained regular site presence, administered quality review processes and supported structured take-over procedures.
