PGC is acting as Owner’s Engineer for the integration of a 25MW battery energy storage system (BESS) into the operational 35MW Mauxhall Solar Farm in England.
Our scope includes technical design review, contract and interface management, construction monitoring, commissioning oversight and ongoing support throughout the construction and energisation phases of the project. PGC is also responsible for management of the Technical Query (TQ) process, design administration and Status of No Objection (SONO) reviews across the project.
During the pre-construction phase, PGC undertook detailed review of the EPC and grid connection contracts, design documentation and project interfaces to support project readiness, risk management and transition into construction.
Construction activities commenced in Q1 2025, with PGC maintaining regular site presence to monitor programme, quality, construction progress and HSE compliance. Our role includes coordination with the EPC Contractor, grid operator and project stakeholders throughout installation, testing and commissioning activities.
PGC also provides project reporting, commercial oversight, commissioning support, punch list management and handover review services to support successful project completion and operational integration of the BESS facility. The project is expected to achieve grid connection and full operational status in 2026.
